This study examines the relationship between flooding and labor market dynamics in Malaysia, focusing on labor force participation rate and employment rate. Using data from the Emergency Events Database (EM-DAT) and the Department of Statistics, Malaysia (DOSM) and applying the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) model, we find that for every thousand individuals affected by floods, employment decreases by 2.5795 people, while LFPR is reduced by 0.0408\%.
