The question of how to achieve sustainable development is a matter of particular concern for new energy vehicle start-ups, and it has become a subject of considerable academic interest. While scholars have achieved certain results in the study of sustainable development of new energy vehicles, there are still some unresolved issues and insufficient attention paid to the reasons for sustainable development. This paper takes JIYUE Automobile Company as the research object. A comprehensive review of literature, case analysis and comparative research methods, coupled with PEST and SWOT analysis, was undertaken to assess the internal and external environment of JIYUE Auto. The findings revealed that new energy vehicle start-ups are heavily reliant on technology provided by internet companies and collaborate with established automotive manufacturers to establish new brands. However, this approach no longer aligns with mainstream market demands. Consequently, automotive manufacturers must meticulously plan capital utilization, discern product direction, and develop products aligned with consumer needs to ensure their survival. This study provides a foundation for the sustainable development of new energy vehicle companies in their nascent stages.
