The adoption of AI and Investment Efficiency

Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays an extremely important role because of its powerful data analysis and processing capabilities to lead society towards intelligence. This study investigates the effect of AI on investment efficiency. This literature analyzes the number of occurrences of AI in the financial reporting information of all A-share listed companies in China. The finding shows that the adoption of AI will accelerate investment efficiency. Taken together, this paper enriches the literature on the consequences of the determinants of investment efficiency and consequence of AI adoption in theory. In additional, this study provides implications that enterprises can improve the quality of decision-making and investment efficiency by applying AI.
