Carbon emissions and carbon governance have long been a focal point in environmental research, giving rise to numerous international policies. Among these, the carbon tariff is one of the measures proposed by European Union member states as part of their response to global carbon governance. This study adopts a literature review approach, systematically reviewing and summarizing the relationships between carbon tariffs and the environment, derivative policies, and supply chains. It organizes and analyzes the concept and impact mechanisms of carbon tariffs, while also identifying potential research directions for future studies on carbon tariffs in the supply chain sector.
